Cícero has experience in environmental management, the implementation and development of capital projects, and operations in different sectors, including aluminum, mining, cellulose, and steel. He has held leadership positions in various environmental licensing processes for large projects in Brazil and abroad. He also developed management tools for indicators, monitoring environmental performance, and the prognosticating of nonconformities. Cicero managed Vale’s environmental management system, which aimed to meet the ISO 14.001 standard. He has acted as coordinator of the SC5 Subcommittee (Life Cycle Analysis) and participated as an observer in the Brazilian Committee on Climate Change
Cícero has double master degree in urban and environmental engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and Technische Universität Braunschweig, and specialisation degrees in economic engineering, environmental engineering, biodiversity management, and conjuncture analysis. He also has an executive MBA and is a bachelor degree in mechanical technology.
