Project Analyst in Business & Human Rights
Thamisa is a lawyer, holds a law degree from UniCuritiba, a specialist in international law from CEDIN and a master’s degree in international human rights law from the University of Essex, England. She has been a lawyer in Brazilian offices, worked in international organizations and in the third sector with private international law, international human rights law and international humanitarian law.
Thamisa has worked at the Organization of American States in the United States, at Al-Haq in Palestine, worked in social development programs in Zambia, participated in projects on arbitrary arrests in partnership with the Center for Supporters of Human Rights and in the area of business and human rights in partnership with Amnesty International. She was a researcher in the field of children and armed conflicts, international arbitration and the Inter-American Human Rights System.
She has conducted studies on the UN and Global Challenges at The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Switzerland and helped coordinate study groups on the Inter-American Human Rights System.
